Wine Walk Business Application

The first North Pearl wine walk kicks off now! Submit your application to have hundreds of Tacoma residents stroll through your shop for a memorable afternoon out. Your shop will host a local winery which will be pouring wine tastings, plus you will be paired with an artist-in-residence displaying their best and most recent works. This will be a fun, lively event with raffles offered to participants throughout the day. This is an opportunity to showcase your business, as well as the entire Ruston Point Defiance Business District in our biggest event of the year. Don’t miss out! Details:
- 10-stop wine walk
- Participants pay $25 each to receive 10 tasting tickets, 5 raffle tickets, a commemorative wine glass, and a map of the business district
- Local wineries offer tasting stations at each participating RPDBD business
- Participating wineries donate one bottle of wine to RPDBD to sell for fundraising for the event
- Local artists display art at each participating RPDBD business
- Artists donate one piece of art, and participating RPDBD businesses donate one item, service or experience for raffle packages for guests (example raffle package: a spa day and a signed print)
- Brick and mortar stores can choose to be paired with an at-home business to create a more lively experience for guests. Examples include pairing an at-home massage therapy business with a brick-and-mortar spa to offer five minute mini-massages for guests.
- Email confirmation will be sent out the week of July 22nd. Rejected applications will be issued a full refund.
- RPDBD has the right to refuse applications for participation

Requirements
Participating businesses are required to:
- Provide a table the day of the event for your paired winery
- Provide a wall space for your paired artist
- Donate one item, service or experience (minimum $50) to RPDBD (your donation will be paired with a piece of art from your resident artist and offered for raffle)
Cost
The fee to participate is $100 for RPDBD members. For non-RPDBD business district members, the fee is $150 and includes a RPDBD membership for the rest of the 2018 calendar year. Participation fees help cover the costs of this event, including the wine and your special events permit from the State of Washington to serve wine.

Eligibility
Due to the nature of this event, this opportunity is currently being offered to businesses in the RPDBD commercial core, which for this event is defined by N 49th St as the southern border, N Winnifred St as the eastern border, Pearl St as the western border, and N 52nd St as the northern border.
If your business is interested but is:
- An at-home business
- A RPDBD business that is not located in the commercial core
Please fill out this form to inform us of your interest. We will attempt to pair you with those participating brick-and-mortar shops who indicate they are open to sharing their space for this event. Fees to participate in this way are not yet calculated.
